Primary Responsability
- Research, design, and evaluate manufacturing products, equipment, processes, procedures, and systems
- Research testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors
- Planning factory layouts, maintenance, and production targets
- Managing budgets, establishing and maintaining process instructions and documentation, reporting systems, and financial records
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and responding to breakdowns
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
- Training manufacturing staff on new equipment and processes
- Liaising with suppliers, customers, and research and development staff
- Apply Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce output variation
- Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and develop line balancing
- Ensure maximum first pas yield and minimum scrap
- Provide technical leadership
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
- In-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Sigma principles, and other continuous improvement methodologies
- PFMEA experience
- Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Cable Processing experience
- 5 years of previous work experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering
