Visco-plastic based metal processing is recognized as a facilitator with exceptional capabilities and results in products. HPP technology is a fundamental enabler of such a process and is the only technology that can achieve the high deformation speeds required.
Now, as a result of massive developments in componentry and architecture over the past years, our reliable MP (Magnetic Pulse) and EH (Electro-Hydraulic) systems are beginning to transform industrial-grade metal processing – with huge benefits for manufacturers, customers and the environment.
About the Technology
Magnetic Pulse Forming (MPF) Systems
Here, electrical pulses are used to generate pulsed, intense magnetic fields which are harnessed to accelerate metal parts at speeds of up to 500 meters per second. At such speeds, metal enters a viscoplastic state in which it adopts a liquid-like behavior, enabling high precision Welding (MPW), Crimping (MPC) or Forming (MPF), with countless advantages over conventional processes.
Electro-Hydraulic Forming (EHF) Systems
Pulsed power is used to generate powerful shockwaves in a liquid environment. These shockwaves are used to push metals at high speeds for electro-hydraulic forming applications.
